Here is my 39ft 1967 bristol sailboat...I was going to sail her around
the world but we have decided to drive instead..she has been refitted
with a yanmar diesel with approx 200 hrs on her...interior is teak and
holly.. she is a good sound vessel that deserves to get out and see more
of the wild blue yonder... dockage is available at very good rate..this
boat was reportedly owned by the New York Yacht club and was campaigned
in the Bermuda cup and won 2 years running in the early 70's although I
am unable to verify..she was originally a yawl but was converted many
years ago...I still have the original yawl rear mast etc if wanted..
It has an electric hot water heater that also runs off heat exchanger
from the engine..hot and cold pressurised water system, large stainless
fresh water tank in the keel...not sure of size but was replaced at some
point in time.. shower sump macerator as well as grey water holding tank
in forward compartment, toilet is hand pump only and works fine but
appears to be getting a little old.. propane gimbal stove, has approx 5
and a half ft unprovisioned draft...not sure of the mast height...I
thought it was not going to make it under the 17th st causeway bridge at
56ft but got reprimanded by the bridge tender saying that I had 6 or 8
feet clear,,,so I would guess about 50 ft..No refrigerator as i had a
portable norcold refrigerator freezer cooler but I am using that for my
drive around the world..I do have an a/c system I was going to install
but didn't and i can throw that in with the deal if wanted..main sail is
in great shape, was recently caught in a big squall and the forward sail
received a bit of seam fraying on the leading edge midway up..probably
about a 2 inch section, can remove and have repaired very easily if
needed..was going to install a ice box with cold plate but preferred to
use the portable cooler instead so never glassed in the icebox
compartment..feel free to ask any questions..
