OWNER'S NOTES.
The classic lines of the1980 C & C Landfall 38 are quite evident from a distance.
C & C are noted for their design, speed, quality, durability and longevity.
They’re in a class with Baltic and Swan.
The 648.5 sq ft sail plans swiftly moves the boat through the water in all conditions giving comfortable and safe feeling in all weather.
Going below puts you in the aft cabin which includes nav station to starboard and a double berth to port with lee cloth.
The12 volt and 110 instrument panel are tucked up under the deck step.
Instruments in the nav station include, SSB and VHF radios, GPS, compass, temp gage chart table and chart storage.
Going forward you will find the head to starboard with new Jabsco head, Lectrasan toilet treatment pump, medicine cabinet and pressurized hot and cold fresh water with a hand backup pump.
To port is the galley with double stainless sink, pressurized hot and cold water and foot pumps for fresh and salt water.
Also Technautics refrigerator with freezer, 2007, and three burner stove with oven and broiler.
Further forward on port and starboard are the settees with lee cloths and a folding table at the mast.
There are storage cabinets both above and forward of the settees.
The starboard forward contains the stereo with cassette, radio and CD player.
There are two speakers below and two speakers in the cockpit with volume control.
Under the sole are four bilge pumps.
A Rule automatic, a gusher operated from the cockpit, a 10” diaphragm Edson and an engine driven pump.
Moving forward into the v-berth, there is a hanging locker to starboard and three drawers and storage cabinet above to port..
Above the bunk there is a sail shelf with open shelves port and starboard.
The cockpit contains a 36” stainless destroyer type wheel with emergency tiller, coupled to a Benmar auto pilot.
A 6” Ritchie compass with shift and speed controls top the binnacle.
A folding teak table and drink holder are attached.
There are Signet instruments for depth, speed, log, wind point and speed to port of the lockable teak hatch.
Roller furling line, winch for main halyard, 18B, main sheet, 19ST, genoa, 28AL and spinnaker, 22AL, sheets are more than ample.
A Navtec backstay adjuster, 2007, and an Aires wind vane are installed.
A solar panel, dodger, bimini and side curtains for cockpit comfort and battery charging are in place.
Cockpit cushions, winch handle holders jack line and engine instrument panel are functionally arranged.
On deck there are four more winches at the mast for two jibs, 18BC, spinnaker and blooper, 18AL.
A 10H outhaul winch is on the boom.
There are four dorade vents for ventilation and four tinted opening hatches.
On the bow is a Neilson windlass.
Double bow rollers for a 35lb CQR with 225ft of 3/16” HT chain and a 35lb HT Danforth with 35ft HT chain and 250ft of ˝” rode.
Double life lines surround the deck and there are jack lines fore and aft, port and starboard.
A Yanmar 3QM30 giving 30 horsepower has raw water filter, Dawl 101 diesel filter, temp, oil and alternator alarms.
It drives a feathering Max Prop and has three 115 amp hr batteries, 2008, with Perco switch.
As a one owner boat, maintenance has been meticulous resulting in a sound and good looking vessel ready to sail anywhere.
