| | | | A great boat, listed in Boating for Less by S.
Henkel, as
one of the best boat values in its size range, and one of the most
popular 30 footers ever built.
The boat sails nicely, and can be
single handed, especially off a mooring (I have done for a long time)
but also can accommodate large parties with an extremely roomy cabin
that has berth spots for 7—although 2 adults and two children is what
we used it for.
I have had 12-15 people on the boat for a day sail.
Excellent and economical “second home” on the lake, we used it for a
number of years as a place to sleep over with our two kids.
We also
have an optional air conditioning unit that fits in the forward hatch
that we would consider selling.
Specs: Sloop with spinnaker rig, Hull: Fiberglass with mahogany trim
(the outside mahogany trim was professionally refinished two years
ago), Beam 10’10” Draft 5’3”, Engine: Universal Horsepower: 30 HP
in-board, Fuel: Gas Mast: Tall Rig and bowsprit provides extra sail
area for lower wind days.
Features and Equipment: Dodger top w/ matching sail and winch covers
in forest green, handheld GPS, 2 anchors, mast mounted wind direction
indicator, dockside 30 amp power cord, 5 working sails including small
storm jib, two different sized genoas, an additional roller furling
type genoa, plus spinnaker with chute scoop, life jackets, recently
replace marine fire extinguishers, Loran w/ antenna, battery charger,
2 winches, winter vinyl boat cover, radar reflector, air horn, A/C
light fixtures, solar shower, built in ice chest cooler, large alcohol
stove and sink in galley, drink holders, cockpit awning & poles,
cockpit cushions, horseshoe & rectangular throw-able cushions, boat
hook, US flag, “party size” rail BBQ grill, dock lines, fenders,
mooring setup with easy access buoy with long pole to easily grab (and
avoid fishing for lines with the boat hook), fog bell/horn, gimbaled
oil lamp, twin compasses, depth finder, stove, two batteries, VHF
radio, newly installed AM/FM Stereo/CD player with IPOD hookup and
wireless remote, 4 fans, reupholstered cushions, new bilge pump.
Navigational lights plus new halogen spreader lights for night time
cruising and entertaining.
Recently finished a number of substantial projects including stripping
bottom to the “barrier coat”(this is an additional bottom coating many
boats do not have and helps assure a better seal on the hull and helps
prevent blistering).
Last season repainted bottom with two coats
Interlux bottom paint, and compounded/waxed upper hull.
Engine was
also tuned up with all new plugs, rotor, distributor cap, condenser
and recently replaced wires.
Also just completed exhaust system
rebuild with new exhaust lines and refurbished exhaust manifold that
was installed with new gaskets.
The kids are gone and with two jobs, just don’t get to use it enough
anymore—but this could be your new home away from home on the water.
Boat is stored near the Boatyard Grill in Ithaca.
