This boat has a huge amount of storage spaces. little spaces have been wasted.
She has the beautiful wood work that the Taiwan builders are known for.
ALL structural bulkheads and components are glassed to the hull with proper tabbing.
Making for a very stiff structure.
ALL spaces are accessible for inspection or repairs.
In addition: I have an” AB”, RIB tender , with a Tohatsu 18 hp outboard, lights & anchor.
I will include with purchase at no extras charge.
Meander and her systems have been continuously upgraded and improved through-out my time with her.
Including most of her plumbing and electronics.
She has lived in the fresh water of the upper bay the whole time I’ve sailed her.
Her top sides & cabin were Awlgriped in white in 1997, The engine had valve job in 1997 along ith a new heat exchanger.
She has a new (6 coats) West system barrier coated bottom in 2007 with 3 coats of Interlux Biolux bottom paint ( in contrasting colors.).
In 1999 When I was looking for a boat, I wanted a boat I could park on the rocks and sail away the next day, I found that in Meander- and then some.
With a 6’8 draft and sailing on the Chesapeake I tend to find the muddy bottom on occasion but with her fin keel and heavy skeg She just spins around on her ke keand drives out of the mud with little or no effort.!
I’ve yet to get really stuck aground.
I’ve sailed “Meander” for over 10 years.
I’m her 3rd owner.
She is a sheer joy to sail.
This is a very well thought out boat with beautiful teak joinery work.
She tacks easily through 40* , sails well in light air & will stand up in a blow. & she maneuvers very nimbly.
She is Very easy to sail short handed.
“Meander “ is a sleek, fast and safe sail boat and would be great for a family cruiser,
I wouldn’t be afraid to take her any were!
