Own a Classis 1947 Luders Viking 31.5 wooden sloop...She was built by Luders Marine of Stamford.
Ct., she is 31.5 ft with a 9.0 ft beam and 11,000 displacement.
She has a 7/8 rig with 494 sq. ft. of sail.
Sales were reconditioned in 2006 and are in excellent shape...The hull is a HOT MOLDED mahogany plywood hull and is almost maintenance free, unlike lapstreak hulls.
She has a 5 ft. fixed keel with lead base.
Two (2) copper 10 gallon fuel tanks, with a 1999 Volvo 3 Cyl. model 2003 28hp diesel engine that runs perfect.
She has Luders hull #894 and Viking Model #1.
She was totally rebuilt by Shipwrights Company in Buford, Ga in 2006.
We have a DVD of all the work.
She is now in Boca Raton, Fl. where we stripped her of all the hull paint and then sanded and faired the hull and deck.
We coated the hull with two coats of West System clear two part Epoxy, then two coats of Awl-Grip Undercoater, then five coats of Awl-Grip two part epoxy in Forest Green.
The deck and mast has one coat of Pettit Undercoater and two coats of Pettit Off-White Easypoxy.
The interior wec sanded and coatedwith two coats of Pettit Interior White.
New sink and faucet...new gell batteries...new Xantrex 12 volt battery charger.
Plus LOTS of "stuff" that goes with owning a boat...as in life jackets, extra sails, a/c unit, 3 upgraded winches (not installed yet) plus????.
