2005 Stunningly Beautiful Fast 36’ Nortech SuperCat with new MER Mark
Rinda 1200’s with POSSIBLE TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY in excess of 110
hours remaining.
No one else period has a warranty like this or a
builder that backs his work like this.
This rocket ship is 99 perfect
in all aspects with many unique features not seen on any other 36’
SuperCat.
It has 180 original hours on the vessel.
It has been 100
utilized in freshwater and 100 garage kept with temperature control
year round.
This craft has seen absolutely no racing at all and
engines have never been past 5600 rpm although dyno proven and ready
for 6200 rpm.
Fantastically easy to drive.
My son has been driving it
past 100 mph since he was 11.
Got your attention now So let’s go, top
to bottom.
This catamaran measures 38’ 9” long and 10’9” wide.
Paint
is a fantastic collection of flowing colors, just gorgeous without any
weird graphics, odd names that get old or fading.
Glass and mirrors
are sharp and not discolored. 5000 CUSTOM FITTED, PAINTED AND
INSTALLED SWIM PLATFORM that protects passengers getting in or out of
vessel from the razor sharp props.
I have never seen another Nortech
with one and swim platforms are a must on these vessels or guaranteed
you will be having significant lacerations from the props.
Original
interior is in excellent condition without any cuts or nicks anywhere.
Interior is cleaned, dried including carpet and the cabin and treated
with Armorall after each outing.
It has the normal two front high back
adjustable bucket seats with matching painted back plates and a UNIQUE
FULL BACK SEAT that seats four and is comfortable for your passengers
without being wedged in.
The boats ride is rock stable without any
dangerous pitching or violent porposing seen in a lot of cats.
Custom
fitted cockpit carpeting and padding.
Lots of storage in cockpit for
tools, cleaning supplies, food, cold drinks, ropes and bumbers.
Removable Livorsi steering wheel.
Full complete set of Livorsi gauges
with two brand new battery free Speedos and separate AirFuel Ratio
gauges and Depth gauge.
Fully functional NorthStar GPS navigation
system.
Livorsi shifters and throttles with drive and trim tab
adjustments on the throttle and on the dash.
Great stereo with dash
and handheld remotes with 4 speakers plus 2 subs.
This Nortech Cat has
an awesome and also absolutely unique cabin with TWO FULL LENGTH BENCH
SEATS WITH FULLY PADDED BACKS, TWO TVs with DVD PLAYERS, REFRIGERATOR
and TWO FULL BEDS ALL THE WAY INTO THE FRONT PICKLES, VERY LARGE
STORAGE AREAS ABOVE EACH BED, LARGE TWO SHELF CABINET PLUS TWO HATCHES
TO THE DECK and FULL CARPETING.
Included are a custom fitted full
length light weight cover and two snap down cockpit covers.
This
vessel has the BALAST TANK installed up front just in case anyone ever
wanted to hook it up and use it but the boat runs perfect without it.
Shore power is installed and available in the cockpit that transmits
the power to a remote battery chargermaintainer then to the two new
batteries that works perfectly.
The selective battery switch is in the
cockpit for easy onoff access.
Lastly, the wiring is absolutely
exquisite.
It is tightly bound and secured every few inches from bow
the stern.
Each engine has one large harness so there are no hanging
wires at all.
The drives are the superb Mercury 6 dry sumps with
16.75” x 39 x 18 Mercury Racing Props balanced, sharpened, polished
and blue printed by B-Blades.
The drives have been well maintained
with fluid and filters changed every 50 hours.
The drives have a
massive 2” polished cross over bar.
No pressure has been put on the
drives.
The throttles are never stabbed and the boat never leaves the
water regardless of speed in our lake environments.
The standard
Mercury K-Planes are present but again never used as they are just not
needed.
The vessel planes very quickly just by trimming down the
drives.
There are two separate water pickups for each engine and they
each cross over to the opposite engine to ensure adequate water flow
at all times.
Each engine has its own Sea Strainer and so does each
InterCooler for a total of 4 Sea Strainers.
Each engine also has a
separate hose water inlets that crosses over to both power plants for
fresh water flushing when out of the water.
This Nortech has BOTH SETS
OF EXHAUST PIPES.
IT HAS THE FOUR HUGE DIRECT FLOW 6” STRAIGHT PIPES
OUT THE BACK and ALSO HAS THE 10,000 STEALTH EXHAUST INSTALLED.
The
straight pipes are on now and if you really like to hear your roaring
engines then this set up is for you.
If you only want to hear the
blowers spin then the Stealth Exhaust that empties under the water is
your choice and can be changed back easily in less than an hour with
simple tools.
Both sets of pipes have the AirFuel sensor ports
installed.
The engines are beautiful 1200 power plants built, dynode,
tested and maintained by Mark Rinda of MER Performance in Little River
SC that run on 93 pump gas.
They were totally rebuilt, not refreshed,
from the bottom up 37 hours ago including the BAM transmissions.
All
parts are the best available.
Everything is new from the huge Demon
carbs down to the oil pumps.
They are 590 cu inch with 14-71 Blower
Shop blowers and Intercoolers.
Of course, the oil, power steering and
transmission are water cooled.
I have the list of all the parts in the
engines.
The oil and oil filter is changed every 15 hours period and
Mark has it rigged with a pump out hose.
It doesn’t get any easier
than that.
Separate engine compartment Fire Extinguishing Systems are
installed.
As you read above, I HAVE A 150 HOUR WARRANTY, PARTS AND
LABOR, ON BOTH ENGINES INCLUDING THE TRANSMISSIONS.
No one else has
this or offers it.
Mark is an exceptional builder and I am very easy
and meticulous with this vessel.
This warranty maybe transferrable to
the new owner given certain conditions.
Think about it, these engines
cost over 60,000 each new.
How good are they built if I have a
warranty The trailer is a Myco built fully aluminum, 3 axle I Beam
beauty with both hydraulic and surge brakes.
I have replaced the
Hydraulic pump, safety system and put the highest quality brand new
tires on this past May.
I had the flimsy upfront loading ladder and
boat brace take off and replaced it with a very sturdy heavy duty
square steel tube ladder.
I also have repacked and checked the
bearings each year.
I have a new set of brake pads but the ones on the
trailer are 75.
This vessel loads very easily.
Literally, we float it
up, get out and walk it up onto the trailer.
Never is it driven onto
the trailer.
Now, the always asked question, How fast is this boat I
have had it cruising at 120 mph at 5000 rpm given a good stiff wind
and long clear safe path.
I have run it up into the high 140’s at a
poker run and had lots of rpm left.
Again, the engines have never been
past 5600 rpm.
The boat will run into the high 150’s to low 160’s top
end and that is quoted by the factory and a very respected driver that
holds the open cockpit world record top speed.
If you want something
faster given the same power you need to move to a 38 foot Skater but
there will be vastly less amenities and no cabin since they are much
lighter vessels.
Nortech is the Cadallac of catamarans.
It is the most
comfortable, has the most space and best cabins.
It cruises very
comfortably all day long at 100 mph just floating on top of the water
and is plenty fast enough.
Only top end highly experienced
professional racers need more speed.
Lastly, I am considering selling
it because two of my children are grown and my youngest one is year
round training for or playing football.
Throw in hunting, fishing and
spearfishing and I can’t reasonably justify keeping it although it is
paid for.
My wife likes the water but not loves it like we do and this
is not a one person boat.
Just be careful, once you make the jump from
a Vee Hull into a true Catamaran, if you like the ease of the speed
and you will, you will never again be satisfied in a Vee Hull.
I hope
this answers most of anyone’s questions.
I have tried to be completely
honest and as descriptive as possible.
I have had no problems with the
boat at all.
Please serious inquires only as the boat has already been
fully winterized and is up till the spring.
Email me at
pajplante@aol.com or cell 803 730 1500.
Price 209,000.00 and pretty
firm as I don’t need to sell it.
This boat cost new 775,000 I was told
and I have over 275,000 invested into making it as perfect as
possible.
