| | | | Very clean Offshore 48 sedan, and one of the very few examples with stabilizers (not to mention a $30,000 enclosed flybridge with custom hardtop and new Strataglass).
She's also lying in a coveted Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip--they've become IMPOSSIBLE to get in this marina!
PowerBoat Guide notes that the Offshore 48 "is a distinctive and well conceived sedan with several features of note to buyers: a priority is placed on outdoor recreation as her generous deck areas suggest)--not only are the walkarounds wide and the cockpit spacious but the flybridge dimensions are extremely generous for a 48-footer.
In addition, the wrap-around windows (which by the way are leakproof, thanks to a unique Crealock design) and sliding doors port and starboard make the salon seem expansive as well."
Designed by William Crealock, this vessel will be as happy fishing offshore or heading to the Puget Sound as doing a lunch cruise on the Bay--this is the second Offshore 48 this owner has had, he cruised the sistership to both Mexico and Alaska and Hombre Oro would be south-bound as well but health forces sale.
As noted above, she's lying in a prime Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip; this is the south-most marina in Sausalito.
It's the downtown Sausalito marina in close proximity to the restaurants, shops and amenities of Sausalito, as well as three minute walk to the San Francisco ferry.
There's a very long waiting list to get in here (and they're no longer even adding names to the waiting list) so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage.
ACCOMODATIONS:
Forward stateroom with centerline queen, hanging locker, private head with stall shower and two overhead hatches.
Next aft to guest stateroom with double berth (space for a second bunk above) port side, head with stall shower across to starboard.
Up four steps to galley port, lower helm with ladder to flybridge starboard and sliding doors to deck port and starboard.
Continue aft to salon with L-shaped settee with electric hi/lo table port side, straight settee and built in TV starboard, far aft thru sliding door to spacious cockpit.
Note interior done in satin-finished teak and shows bristol, 6'6 headroom throughout most of boat (including sleeping areas), teak & holly sole, cozy Webasto diesel fired hydronic heat.
GALLEY EQUIPMENT:
Galley up, same level as salon.
Twin deep stainless steel sinks, hot/cold pressure water, three burner Princess stovetop with built in Sharp convection microwave, Norcold ac/dc refrigerator, trash compactor.
Built in combination washer/dryer in cockpit.
ELECTRONICS & NAVIGATION GEAR:
Furuno and Garmin GPSs computer interfaced, Cetrek autopilot, Furuno 36 mile radar, Furuno fishfinder, B&G depth/speed insruments, two Horizon VHF radios with remote mic on aft deck, Sea HF/SSB radio.

Sony AM/FM stereo receiver, Sony 10 disc CD player, Sony dual cassette recorder.
Built in Mitsubishi 19" color TV with Toshiba DVD/VCR unit.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
110V AC / 12V DC.
Thirty amp shorepower service, Northern Lights 8kW genset (977 hours) with soundshield, Heart inverter.
DECK & HULL EQUIPMENT:
Hand laminated modified-V hull with a deep forefoot; four full length stringers, multiple athwartship frames and balsa coring from the waterline up.
Note the vessel has substantial displacement, long keel and low center of gravity make for a solid, sea-kindly ride--one of the reasons the Offshore 48 makes a good sea boat.
Vessel last hauled and bottom painted late October, 2007, no blisters.
Robust anchor platform with Bruce anchor, Maxwell 2200 electric windlass with remote switch at lower helm, six mooring cleats, high sidedeck bulwarks with step-thrus port and starboard.
Teak swim platform with folding swim ladder, step-thru transom to cockpit, fresh water washdowns at foredeck and cockpit.
AB 9'6 inflatable (2000) with Honda four stroke outboard, electric dingy davit.
ENGINE & MACHINERY:
Well maintained (just serviced 9/07) Cat 3208 turbo diesels with just over 2,400 hours; they're easily accessed in the engine room that's double insulated to provide a quiet ride.
Westmar hydraulic stabilizers (these things work miracles and cost a FORTUNE to install!).
