Basic Decription: The original fire retardant fiberglass hull of the
Boat was a 50 Foot Navy Utility Boat built by Uniflite in Bellingham,
Washington in 1979.
It served on the Destroyer Tender Yellowstone
AD41.
We bought the Hull in 1998 from a yard that purchased it from
Navy Surplus.
Our Captain then started to work on the Hull and removed
the 671 Detroit out and replaced it with a very quiet 3208, 320
horsepower Caterpillar engine, which currently has approximately 3200
hours on it.
Following US Coast Guard inspection T boat regulations
the Express Royale was built to be inspected.
The Boat was completed
in June 2000.
The Express Royale has a 5.5 KW Diesel generator with
approximately 110 hours on it.
A hydraulically operated Vetus Bow
Thruster.
The Electronics consist of Furuno Radar GPS 2 VHF Radios and
2 Search Lights and all Running Lights are in good working order.
The
Boat is US Coast Guard inspected for 49 Passengers and Stability
tested for 51 passengers, currently being used as a Tour Boat in the
Chesapeake Bay.
All life jackets, two 22 person one 8 person life
rafts, emergency lights and life rings, chairs for 49 people included.
The Express Royale has an auxiliary steering station aft with a
security cage.
The galley contains a refrigerated box that holds 3
cases of champagne, 4 cases of beer and several cases of water and
sodas, along with ample storage for liquor or other equipment and a
deep sink for washing glassware.
The Bar in the Passenger compartment
contains a beverageaire cooler that holds 4 cases of wine, assorted
mixers, 8 cases of sodas and water, 12 cases of bottled beer.
The bar
also contains 3 sinks for preparing drinks and washing glassware, we
also have a 6 gallon hot water heater on board.
The Sound system
contains speakers throughout the Passenger Compartment, AmFm Cassette
player, AmFm CD Player.
The head contains a vacuflush head with two
separate vacuum pump systems, 100 Gallon Fresh Water capacity 100
Gallon Sewage capacity, hand towel dispenser, sink, mirror and vanity,
handicapped accessible.
At the beginning of the 2009 season we
purchased new indooroutdoor carpeting for the passenger compartment.
The Passenger compartment has handicapped accessible aluminum ramp
gangway and pull down plastic side curtains for inclement weather and
heat.
We also have a spare shaft and a new spare prop.
The Boat is in
good working order and is working the 2012 season.
